11. Shopify Integration

When you connect your Shopify store to Unload, we access and process the following data:

  • Store information: shop name, domain, primary locale
  • Product data: titles, descriptions, prices, variants, images, inventory levels
  • Product metadata: tags, collections, product types

This data is used exclusively to synchronize product cards from Unload to your Shopify store. We do not access customer data, orders, or payment information.

Shopify access tokens are stored securely in Google Cloud Secret Manager. When you disconnect your store, all Shopify-related credentials are immediately deleted.

Our integration complies with Shopify's API Terms of Service and Partner Program Agreement. We implement GDPR-compliant webhooks for data deletion requests.

12. Chrome Extension — Image Capture

The Unload Image Capture extension is an optional companion tool that helps you save product images from supplier websites directly into your Unload product cards.

  • The extension is only active during an explicit capture session started from the Unload platform
  • Each image capture requires a manual click — no automated or background data collection
  • Only the URL of the image you explicitly select is transmitted to our servers
  • No browsing history, cookies, form data, or personal information is collected or accessed
  • No data is collected when the extension is idle (outside of a capture session)

Captured images are downloaded by our servers and stored in your Unload account (Firebase Storage) as part of your product cards. This replaces the manual process of right-clicking, saving, and re-uploading product images.

The extension requests the 'activeTab' permission to display the capture button on the current page, and the 'storage' permission to persist session state. It does not request access to browsing history, bookmarks, or any other browser data.

Image URLs are sent to Unload's Firebase Cloud Functions for download and storage. No data is shared with third parties. All communication uses HTTPS encryption.
